The Yemeni International Telecommunications Company (TeleYemen) was established in 1971 as a subsidiary of the British company “Cable & Wireless” a private limited company, until 1990, when the General Telecommunications Corporation became a partner with the British company, and then the company’s name was changed to TeleYemen. In 2004, TeleYemen became a 100% wholly state-owned company.
Since 1971, TeleYemen has become the only licensed provider of international telecommunications and satellite communications services in Yemen, and any company that provides these services is a violating and illegal company and may not be dealt with.
