November 18, 2025Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technology, Prof. Shadi Basurah, held an expanded meeting today in the interim capital, Aden, with executive directors and senior ministry officials.
The meeting focused on operational readiness, workplace discipline, and workflow across the ministry’s various sectors, in line with directives from His Excellency Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, and Prime Minister Dr. Shaya Mohsen Al-Zindani.
Minister Basurah stressed the importance of strengthening readiness and institutional discipline, noting that the current phase and its national responsibilities require all state institutions to work together and coordinate their roles, coinciding with the launch of the “Fajr Al-Yemen” (“Dawn of Yemen”) battle to liberate territory and restore the state.
“The Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology must fulfil its role and mobilise all its resources and personnel to serve citizens under these exceptional circumstances,” the minister said. “We are working hard to restore the telecommunications sector in areas under the control of the legitimate government and provide secure telecommunications services.”
The minister concluded by stressing that this battle concerns all Yemenis, who share a common destiny, and that victory can only be achieved through unity and solidarity among state institutions and bodies, with the aim of fully restoring state sovereignty under the Constitution and a just civil state.
He also expressed appreciation for the significant support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Yemeni people and its backing of efforts to restore state institutions.
